Corporate Donors For Fiscal Year 2004 - 2005

In 2004 Mungo Homes set out to build a house and then auction it to the highest bidder with the proceeds benefiting Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity.  The auction was an incredible success, producing $175,000, which will fund several Habitat houses and contribute to the Habitat Family Support Program.

Mungo Homes has built more than 6,000 homes in the Midlands; a recent survey of  homeowners showed 96 percent of respondents recommending Mungo Homes to family and friends.

In 1998, Robert Haas construction, Coldwell Banker and Columbia Metropolitan magazine launched a building program called "Dream Houses" to raise proceeds to benefit Central South Carolina Habitat for Humanity.   Since that time, the effort has raised $50,000 and will fund a Habitat for Humanity home which will be built in Fall 2005 by volunteers from Coldwell Banker and the University of South Carolina.  Coldwell Banker is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2005.  The company has 50 offices in 3 states including 15 offices and over 600 associates in South Carolina.

BlueCross BlueShield has announced plans to provide both financing and volunteer labor to build their sixth Habitat house in Richland/Lexington counties since 1993 and also participated in Central South Carolina Habitat For Humanity's Fall Building Blitz in October 2005.  The company has also built Habitat houses in Florence and Myrtle Beach.  Blue Cross Blue Shield has provided healthcare coverage and services in South Carolina since 1946.  With offices throughout South Carolina, Blue Cross Blue Shield is one of the state's largest employers with over 12,000 people.
